Winds nearing tornado strength have ripped off the roof at the Dallas Cowboys indoor practice facility in Irving, Texas, injuring 12 people.

A cameraman filming a rookie team workout captured the moment players and team members ran for cover as the roof on the tent-like structure collapsed.

Several members of the American football team are in hospital, recovering from minor injuries. It has been reported that special teams coach Joe DeCamillis broke his back in the accident.
